The swift career progress of the young Polish bass Daniel Borowski attests to the unusual maturity of his voice and his special gifts both as a musician and actor. He performed leading bass parts in European opera houses as La Scala in Milan, Berlin Staatsoper, Frankfurt Opera, Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, Teatro La Fenice, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa, Teatro Liceu Barcelona, Teatro Real Madrid, Opera Lyon, Polish National Opera, as well as in American opera houses: New York City Opera, Houston Grand Opera, San Diego Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Minnesota Opera, Detroit Opera and the Canadian Opera de Montreal. He also appeared at important international festivals, such as the Glyndebourne Festival, Festival Due Mundi in Spoleto, Santa Fe Festival and Schwetzingen Festival. He worked and recorded with numerous European and American orchestras, broadening his symphonic and oratorio repertoire (among others with the London Symphony, Orchestra of St. Martin's in the Fields, RAI Orchestra, Polish Radio Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony). He performed under the baton of such renowned conductors as: Sir Edward Downes, Daniel Barenboim, Daniel Harding, Sir Neville Marriner, Sir Colin Davis, Jeffrey Tate, Michael Tilson-Thomas, Mark Elder and Marc Minkowski. Daniel Borowski was selected as the Debut Artist of the Year by The New York City Opera. He was the recipient of the John Christie Award granted at the Glyndebourne Festival. He is also the winner of the 3rd International Moniuszko Vocal Competition (1st prize).
