At the age of twelve, Anna Christin Sayn discovered her passion for singing, and then started taking voice lessons with Traute Hauck at the municipal music school in her home town of Sprockhövel. She participates regularly in singing competitions and has already received various prizes. She is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program at the Cologne College of Music and Dance in the studio of Prof. Brigitte Lindner, after having successfully completed a bachelor’s degree and vocal pedagogy studies there. Since the 2014/15 season, Anna Christin Sayn has appeared regularly as a member of the extra choir on the stage of the Aalto Theater in Essen, participating in many new productions and in numerous revivals. In 2017 the young soprano celebrated her opera debut in the role of Nerina in Haydn’s La fedeltà premiata at Theater Aachen. Under the auspices of the Cologne College’s production, she appeared as Papagena in Mozart’s Magic Flute and during the 2017/18 season sang the role of Oberto in Handel’s Alcina at Theater Solingen. Most recently, she took the role of Susanne in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro in a production of the Rhenish Opera Academy Cologne. Anna Christin Sayn sees a special challenge in the interpretation of art song. In numerous song recitals, she dedicates herself to the songs of both major and well-known composers as well as of those who due to destiny have long since been forgotten. Anna Christin Sayn is a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Society Bonn.
