Violist Stefan Fehlandt received his musical training at Berlin’s Academy of Music Hanns Eisler. Since 1985 the focus of his artistic activity has been his work in the internationally acclaimed Vogler Quartet, of which he was a founding member, and which has also been responsible for a festival in Sligo, Ireland (annually in May), the Chamber Music Days in Homburg (Saar), and the multi-award-winning “North-Hessian Children’s Music Days” in Kassel. Moreover, he is the chamber music partner of numerous well-known soloists. He has participated in projects of the Akademie für Alte Musik und appeared as guest performer at renowned German and international music festivals, including the Dresden Music Festival, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Salzburg Festival, and the “Spannungen” Festival in Heimbach. Since 2007 Stefan Fehlandt has been a professor at the Stuttgart College of Music and Performing Arts, teaching viola and chamber music. Moreover, he has given master classes and workshops, including at the Jeunesses Musicales, the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg, at diverse state academies of music, and in Berlin, Stockholm, Seville, Sydney, Cincinnati, Toronto, and Montreal.
