Jürgen Bruns is artistic director of the Kammersymphonie Berlin and chief conductor of the KOS Ljubljana, and ECCO. Owing to his extensive repertoire, he is often invited as a guest conductor by orchestras throughout Europe. Jürgen Bruns is renowned for his performances and recordings of re-discovered compositions from the early decades of the twentieth century. As a German conductor of the younger generation, he has especially dedicated himself to bringing back to life the music of composers persecuted by the Nazi regime. In recent years, he has conducted more than ninety world premieres and recorded over a hundred works for CD (for labels such as Deutsche Grammophon, eda records, Signum, Quadriga, Capriccio, Hännsler Classics, and Sony), film, and radio. From 2006 to 2009, Jürgen Bruns was artistic director of Deutsche Grammophon’s CD series “Club 100.”
