Clemens Linder, born in Vorarlberg, studied music with Maria Kikel, Klara Flieder and Ernst Kovacic at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. His enthusiasm for chamber music led him to work with musicians such as Ernst Kovacic, Thomas Larcher, Valentin Erben, Jörg Widmann and the Adamello Quartet. Since 2002 he has been assistant principal 2nd violin of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and has frequently performed with Klangforum Wien, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. In addition to his orchestral activities, he has been a lecturer at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin since 2004. On EDA 51 "Hans Winterberg Chamber Music Vol. 1" he can be heard with the first recordings of Winterberg's Violin Sonata and 1st String Quartet.
