Andre Schoch has been a trumpeter with the Berliner Philharmoniker since 2017 and has held a deputy professorship at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts since 2021. From 2014 to 2017 he was principal trumpet in the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra. He has also worked as principal trumpet at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig. As a soloist, he has performed with the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg under Kent Nagano, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Chamber Orchestra and the Berliner Barock Solisten, among others. Andre Schoch is also much in demand as a chamber musician. He is a founding member of the "Philharmonic Brass" ensemble, a member of the Schoch/Höricke duo and a trumpet/organ duo with Arvid Gast. On EDA 51 (Hans Winterberg Chamber Music Vol. 1) he can be heard in the first recording of Winterberg's 1st Trumpet suite.
